Northwestern opened its new Ryan Field in 2026, a 35,000-seat stadium on the site of the old one, and Welsh-Ryan Arena just to the north hosts basketball, volleyball and wrestling. A party bus of 35 gets a tailgate group to kickoff and home again without anyone hunting for parking.
Downtown Evanston has the Davis Street stops for Metra and the CTA Purple Line, plus restaurants within walking distance of the Hilton Orrington, a 1923 hotel named for a university co-founder. For a quieter outing, the Grosse Point Lighthouse, finished in 1873, stands on the lake in the north of the city.
Party buses, Hummer limos and coaches in Evanston
Evanston Township High School is the only school in District 202, so every Evanston prom group leaves on the same night, which makes an early booking for a party bus or the Hummer worthwhile.
